Pets

  • Please curb your dogs & cats and pick up after them.  Stray animals can be in danger of hurting themselves or others and are a nuisance to non-pet owners. Please treat animals lovingly!
  • Fayette County prohibits more than 3 pets per household. No household pets are permitted to roam free – that means keep your pets on your own property, and when walking, jogging, or golf carting with your dog, your pet needs to be on a leash! It is the pet owner’s responsibility to clean up after your pet, and please keep your dog(s) from being a noise hazard; i.e., barking constantly. This is pretty simple and common sense stuff.
  • If you have any questions regarding the pet rules, please contact the Fayette Co. Marshall’s office, at 770.305.5157, or refer to the link at www.fayettecountyga.gov; then refer to the section on planning and zoning.
  • An invisible fence may be installed on a homeowner’s property as long as it can be done without tree or shrub removal.  If a homeowner feels this cannot be done without tree or shrub removal an RFM must be submitted and approved by Homelink before installation of the invisible fence.
